Jamie Wignall BSc (Hons), M.RCPod

Jamie joined the practice in 2016 and became practice owner in 2022. He qualified with a First Class Honours Degree in Podiatry from the University of Salford and was awarded the Best Final Year Student Prize. He gained experience in high-risk diabetic wound care, biomechanics and nail surgery from both Blackpool and Bridgewater Community NHS trusts. Nail surgery is a particular interest of his- as is routine podiatric care. Jamie is HCPC registered and a member of Royal College of Podiatry. He holds local anaesthetic and prescription only medicines certificates.

Poppy Lee BSc (Hons), M.RCPod

Poppy joined the practice in 2018 and has become a valuable member of the team. Since qualifying in 2016 from the University of Salford she has continued her professional development and become an Advanced Podiatrist in high risk care for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Additional entitlements include both supplementary and independent prescribing. Poppy has a special interest in wound care and vascular disease of the lower extremities.

Away from work she enjoys hiking in the Lake District, socialising and spoiling Bruce – her beloved cockapoo!

Deborah Wilford BSc (Hons), M.RCPod

Deborah is our newest member of the team and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice. Since qualifying from the University of Huddersfield in 2005 she has furthered her education and has a master’s in theory of Podiatric Surgery and taken a Postgraduate Certificate in Education – just to name a few! Deborah is an NHS Advanced Podiatrist in high risk care and is split between the community and the hospital. Additional entitlements include non-medical prescribing at master’s level.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her daughter and walking the dog!

Receptionists

Christine Schoonjans, Diane Webster and Barbara Johnson.

Our friendly receptionist staff will help you with any enquiries you may have. They are responsible for making appointments and dealing with administration requests. Their aim is to help in the smooth running of the practice. All information given to them is treated in confidence and they are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the Podiatrists. Senior Receptionist Christine Schoonjans is responsible for the supervision and guidance of the reception team.
